The Wasserman Center for Career Development welcomes NYU Poly
students. Services available to NYU Poly students include:
Career Development Seminars
Combining practical information with active participation, seminars
are designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of career
planning and job hunting. Seminars are conducted regularly throughout
the year.
Seminar Series
Resume and Cover Letter Writing
Learn to write an effective resume and cover letter. Topics include
format, content, and style.
Interviewing Sills
Topics include interview preparation, proper attire, and appropriate
responses to difficult questions. Different types of interview
situations are discussed as well.
Job Search and Networking Skills
Learn to organize and conduct a job search. Techniques for locating
employment opportunities, including networking and researching
employers, are covered.
Advanced registration is necessary to attend our career seminars.

Career Fairs
The Wasserman Center hosts a number of career fairs throughout
the academic year. Career fairs provide a convenient and unique
opportunity to meet with a large number of organizations and agencies
recruiting for full-time and part-time positions. Career fairs
draw recruiters from a variety of industries and offer students
the opportunity to gather information about career options and
connect with employers.

A Note About Job Applications for NYU Poly Students
Note: Because NYU Poly students do not yet have access to NYU CareerNet,
NYU Poly students who meet employers at NYU Career Fairs or at on-campus
presentations should apply for open positions directly through the employers'
web sites.
InterviewStream
InterviewStream is a web-based interview training tool that allows
students to practice, record, review, and share video-taped interviews
using a personal computer and a web-camera.
With over 1,500 tailored interview questions, you can create
custom questions lists to help you practice, polish, and perfect
your interviewing technique. You can save your recorded responses,
creating a great opportunity to get additional coaching and feedback.
