The Employment Office provides staffing, recruitment and related services to hiring managers to attract the best qualified talent. The Employment Office also assists internal and external job applicants in identifying the right job opportunities.

Employment

Our services include:

  • Managing the University electronic application system: MATCH (Managing Applications Through Computerized Help), as well as assisting employees and managers in utilizing MATCH
  • Posting all staff vacancies on HR website and placing all non-faculty recruitment advertising
  • Assisting and advising hiring managers and HR Officers with developing and executing recruitment strategies, insuring that recruitment meets affirmative action commitments
  • Screening, interviewing and referring candidates to hiring managers
  • Advising managers and HR Reps on reference checking and overseeing all background checking
  • Assisting and advising employees on career planning and seeking transfer/promotion opportunities
  • Providing training to managers on interviewing and selection and to employees on career development, including interviewing and resume preparation
  • Developing and facilitating new hire orientation programs
  • Managing temporary staffing agencies and monitoring use of agencies by units, insuring quality and compliance with policies
