The Alliance for International Higher Education Policy Studies (AIHEPS), was a collaboration between New York University (NYU), the Autonomous University of Puebla (AUP), and most recently the University of British Columbia (UBC). AIHEPS is funded by the Ford Foundation to conduct policy research in Mexico, Canada, and the United States from September 1, 1999 - March 1, 2007..

Our two primary objectives were: (1) to improve comparative understanding of how changes in higher education policies (rules of the game) alter the nature of institutional behaviors and system performance, and (2) to serve as a vehicle for training a small cadre of younger policy scholars in both nations.

This web site is maintained by the Steinhardt Institute for Higher Education Policy of the Steinhardt School of Education to provide access to papers and reports from the project that have not been published elsewhere. For those that have been, or soon will be published, the site provides access information.
