Are you going to be new to NYU? Looking to meet new people? Want to find out about resources and services available to you as an NYU student? Then take advantage of NYU Welcome Week! Welcome Week is a series of programs and events designed to assist new freshmen and transfer students in transitioning to NYU and NYC. Welcome Week programs are a great way to meet new people, get to know about the university, experience New York City, and have fun during your first week at NYU.

Welcome Week programs are open to all new NYU students. Additional information, including Welcome Week event schedules and program information will be available on this site in late July. There are also Welcome Week programs for new NYU graduate students. For Graduate Welcome Week information, click here.

Must See Welcome Week Programs

NYU Welcomes You! Sunday, August 30th
Also known as Move-In Day, the Recent Alumni Network invites you and your family to stop by the Kimmel Center for University Life for a bite at the Market Place and to pick up your NYU ID Card. You can also browse the NYU Information Fair and speak with representatives of various NYU offices, enjoy free gifts, enter raffles, and pick up a free t-shirt. NYU Presidential Welcome and the Reality Show:NYU Monday, August 31st
Join President Sexton, fellow new students, alumni, and university officials for the Presidential Welcome of the Class of 2013, 2009 new transfer students, and students transitioning-from-abroad at the Theatre at Madison Square Garden. Immediately following will be the The Reality Show: NYU -- a gritty, funny musical about the lives of NYU students as they experience an array of confounding, confusing, and exciting issues. The Reality Show: NYU is written, performed, and produced by NYU students, and directed by Tisch School of the Arts professor Elizabeth Swados.

NYU Portraits: Voices of a People Wednesday, September 2nd
This exciting event will showcase powerful, thought-provoking speakers with an array of exceptional student dance, vocal, and instrumental performances by NYU students, faculty and alumni. NYU Portraits: Voices of a People is an innovative way of conveying the importance and tradition of NYU's diverse community as an enriching, engaging educational experience.
